Privileged Life Pools

15 Serapool Porselen pool tiles, which create an aesthetic and dynamic integrity with buildings thanks to their color, design and texture diversity, appear this time in a living space located in touch with nature in İzmir Urla, designed with an environmentally friendly and subtle approach. We talked with ONZ Architecture Co- Founder Onat Öktem about the details of the project designed and implemented by ONZ Architecture, the contributions of Serapool products to the project, the solutions offered by the project and the reasons for choosing Piazza Cobalt products. After graduating from METU Architecture Department in 2004, you are an architect who has carried out important works both in Türkiye and in the world countries such as New York, Chicago, Miami, Belgium, Italy, Dubai, Moscow and Beirut. How do you evaluate the importance of water elements such as pools and biological ponds in architecture? Throughout history, water has been an integral part of many buildings such as Roman houses, castles, monasteries and squares. These resources have not only been used for water supply but have also been accepted as an indispensable element in itself, as they can give a sense of well-being and harmony. Pools, fountains and ponds in gardens and terraces are both aesthetic and therapeutic elements at the same time. On the one hand, they reflect trees, rocks, sculptures and the sky, while on the other hand, they purify and ionize the air during the hot summer months.
